The next item of business was consideration of an appeal, by Seminole National
Bank, of the Historic Preservation Board's denial to install a sign at the bank's new
location at First Street and Myrtle Avenue. Mr. Philip H. Chestnut, President, Seminole
National Bank, i17 Oaks Court, Sanford, Florida, appeared to support the appeal. He

denied, and suggested it be reduced in size.
Mr. Ed Eptein, Sr., Vice President, Seminole National Bank, appeared and reported
the sign was reduced in size betweem one-third to one-half of the 150 square feet allowed
by Code, and the Historic Preservation Board still did not issue a Certificate of
Appropriateness.

Board member, appeared and reported that the signs did meet physical requirements, but the
board questioned whether the size and design were appropriate.
