Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman.
The City Manager distributed a memo regarding vandalism and thievery in City Hall
during the hours of Advisory Board and City Commission Meetings. He stated that by
leaving the elevator unlocked for access to the second floor for meetings, security is
threatened. He offered several different alternatives to increase security, and it was the
concensus of the Commission that all meetings scheduled for after 5:00 P.M. be held in the
first floor meeting rooms. Mr. Faison informed the Commission that he had hired two off-
duty Fire Department Personnel to patrol the halls until security is tightened.
The Commission continued consideration of the 1989-90 Budget and the proposed
millage.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
