City Commission, Sanford, Florida
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session on Wedneday, December 5,
1990 at 12100 o'clock noon, in the the City Commission Room, City Hall, Sanford, Florida.

Commissioner Whitey Eckstein
Commissioner Robert B. Thomas
Commissioner A. A. McClanahan
Commissioner Lon Howell
City Attorney William L. Colbert
City Manager Frank A. Faison
City Clerk Janet R. Donahoe
The Chairman called the meeting to order to receive the Certificate of Results of the Municipal General
Election on December 4, 1990, for the purpose of electing one Commissioner, and stated that the absentee ballots were
counted at 7:00 P.M. on December 4, 1990.
The Certificate of Results for the General Election held on December 4, 1990 was received by the City
Clerk and the City Commission and recorded as follows:

Commissioner Howell moved that the returns of the election held on December 4, 1990, be accepted and
the absentee ballots be approved_as recorded, and declared Commissioner A. A. McClanahan to be the winner.
Seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried by the vote of the Commission as follows:

Commissioner Howell Aye
Commissioner McClanahan moved to authorize payment in amount of $60.00 to inspectors, and $70.00 to
the clerk, plus $1.00 for mileage, for work in the December 4, 1990 General Election. Seconded 'by Commissioner
Thomas and carried by the vote of the Commission as follows:

Commissioner McClanahan Aye
Commissioner Howell Aye
The Commission noted that Commissioner Whitey Eckstein was unopposed in his bid for re-election as
City Commissioner, District 4, and, therefore, was deemed to be the winner; and the Commission declared
Commissioner Eckstein to be the winner.
City Attorney reported that the City Commission will need to designate another District 3 polling place
before the next election.
Mayor Smith directed the City Clerk to prepare a letter thanking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints for the use of its facilities.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
