ORDINANCE NO!~ 396 .
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, REGULATING
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC AT TI~ INTERSECTION OF GENEVA AVENUE AND MELLON-
VILLE AVENUE AND AT THE INTERSECTION OF CELERY AVENUE AND MELLONVILLE
AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SANFORD AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That drivers of vehicles being driven north or
south on Mellonville Avenue in the City of Sanford, Florida, shall
bring such vehicles to a complete stop before entering the intersection
of said Mellonville Avenue and Geneva Avenue and a vehicle approach-
lng said intersection on Geneva Avenue at approximately the same time
as a vehicle approaching said intersection on Mellonville Avenue shall
have the right of way over said vehicle on Mellonville Avenue.
Section 2. That drivers of vehicles being driven north or
south on Mellonville Avenue in the City of Sanford, when the traffic
signal at the intersection of said Mellonville Avenue and Celery Ave-
nue is not in operation, shall bring such vehicles to a complete stop
before entering said intersection and a vehicle approaching said inter-
section on Celery Avenue when said traffic signal is not in operation,

at approximately the same time as a vehicle approachihg said intersec-
tion on Mellonville Avenue, shall have the right of way over said
vehicle on said Mellonville Avenue.
Section 3. That any person violating any of the provisions
of Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance shall, upon conviction in the
Municipal Court of the City of Sanford be punished by a fine of not
more than $200.00 or by imprisonment for not more than ninety days,
or by both fine and imprisonment, at the discretion of the Municipal
Judge.
Section 4. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict hereWith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its passage and adoption.
