393 ORDINANCE NO. 393____ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, &~ENDING ORDINANCE NO. 362 OF SAID CITY, PASSED AN::) ADOPTED ON THE 26th DAY OF DECEHBER, 1944, SAID ORDINANCE BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A ZONING Ph~N WITHIN THE CITY OF SANFORD, SAID Al1ENDHENT TRANSFERRING TERRITORY ZONED IN DIS- TRICT R-l (ONE SINGLE FA}1ILY) TO DISTRICT C-2 (COMMERCIAL-INDUSTRIAL), AND REDUCING FIRST FLOOR AREA OF ONE-STORY DWELLINGS IN DISTRICT R-l A. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 362 of the City of San- ford, Florida, passed and adopted on the 26th day of December, 1944, and enti tled "An Ol"dinance establishing a zoning plan within the City of Sanford, creating nine (9) districts, regu- latin~ and restricting the location and use of buildings, structures, land and vTeeter for trade, industry, residence or other purposes, the height and size of structures, and size of open spaces for light and ventilation; adopting a map of said districts; defining terms used; providing for the acljuEit,- ment, enforcement and amendment thereof; and prescribing penal- ties for violationll, be and the same is hereby amended as follows: J 1. That Lots 3 and 8 of Block 14 of Tier 7, and Lot 3 of Block 14 of Tier 8, located between French and Elm of . Avenues and T'''elfth and. Thirteenth Streets, /Sanford, Fl~rida, according to E. R. Trafford.' s Map thereof, zoned in Dis trict R-l (One Single Family), as shown on map designated as IIZoning Hap of Sanford, Florida" and a part of said ordinance, be and, the same are hereby transferred to District C-2 (Commercial- Industrial), as shown on said Zoning Map. 2. That Lots 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Block 15 of Tier 6, I) bounded on the West by Elm Avenue,' North by Thirteenth Street, I , \" r East by alley between Elm and Myrtle Avenues, South by rail- road, of Sanford, Florida, according to E. R. Trafford's Map thereof, zoned in District R-l (One Single Family), as shown on Map designated as "Zoning Map of Sanford, Florida", be and the same are he'reby transferred to District C-2 (Commercial- Industrial), as shown on said Zoning Map. Section 2. That Paragraph G of Section 5 of said Zoning Ordinance No. 362, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "G. First Floor Area The minimum ground floor areas of dwellings, ex- clusive of porte~cocheres and attached porches, in this district shall be: half (a) For a two and one~story dwelling, R-l AA: 1200 so. ft.; R-l A: 800 sq. ft. (b) For a one and one-half sto~y dwelling, R-l AA: 1,400 sq. ft.; R-l A: 1,000 'sq. ft. (c) For ~ one story dwelling, R-l AA: 1,600 sq. ft.; R-l A: 1, 000 sq. ft. \I Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict nerewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
