Section 1. that before any water heaters or range
boi lers are inst alled in the City of Janford, l"lori da a permit
so to do shall be obtained from the plumbing inspector of the
City of Sanford for which permit a fee of J.50 shall be
charged and paid.
Section 2. That all gas and kerosene heaters
installed in the City of Sanford, Florida shall be vented to
the outside and a pressure and temperature regulator shall be
installed on the hot water line and overflow shall be piped
to the outside of the building. The release valve shall be
equal to or better than the type of ,fatts Catalog No. 40A. The
temperature and pressure setting must be approved by the
plumbing inspector.
Section 3.l1hat it shall be the duty of the plumbing
inspector after said vlater heater or range boiler has been
installed to inspect said water heater or range boiler. l'he
person installing said water heater or range boiler shall when
the same is installed immediately notify the plumbing inspector
to make such inspection.
Section 4. 'rhat if the plumbing inspector finds said
water heater or range boiler not properly installed the same
shall be removed or such defective installation remedied.

Section 5. rhat all persons, firms or corporations
violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction before the Municipal
Court be punished by a fine not exceeding Two Hundred j)ol'_ars
hp200. 00) or by impri sonment not exceeding nine ty days.
Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 7. ~hat this ordinance shall become effect~ve
upon the 1st day of October, 1945.
