MOTION/RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend authorization for the City of Sanford's Consent To Assignment of Lease for the
Marina Isle Hotel (Best Western) from Sanford Marina Hotel Corporation to Suncor Island
Properties, LTD.
BACKGROUND:
The current lease holder for the marina hotel "Best Western," is Sanford Marina Hotel Corporation. The
proposed lease holder, Suncor Island Properties, LTD., would like to assume the assignment of the
current Lease dated, 7/29/1999, with the City of Sanford.
The Consent to Assignment of Lease is consistent with the previously approved Consent of Assignment
for the Harbour Place Partnership.

`Phis agreement between the CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, as "Lessor hereinafter
referred to as the "City" and SANFORD MARINA HOTEL, CORP. as "Lessee" is made
pursuant to the provisions of the lease dated May 11, 1995, between the CITY OF SANFORD
AND TERRA MARKETING, INC. & later assigned to SANFORD MARINA HOTEL
CORPORATION on 7/29/1999. hereinafter referred to as the "Lease". Paragraph 9 of the lease
reduires the consent of the City to the assignment ofthe Lease.
Pursuant to paragraph 9 of the Lease, it is by this agreement, stipulated and agreed
between the above -named parties that the City consents to the assignment of the Lease to
SUNCOR ISLAND PROPERTIES LTD., under the same terms and conditions as mentioned and
described in the Lease and any amendments thereto. Further, the City does release SANFORD
MARINA I IOTHIL CORP. from liability Ior the obligations as Lessee of the Lease.
IN WITNESS WEREOF, the parties have this Agreement intending to be bound thereby
on the dates indicated below their signatures.
