Box 938 Sanford) Florida 32771 Reference: Sanford Law Enforcement Center Dear Mr. Dragash: With reference to our conversation and your request to submit a proposal for an alarm panel, this letter will serve as an explanatory document of the Mosler 140 zone consolidated alarm panel and the proposal that is attached. The photograph and specifications should be sufficient to give you the information you need if you should decide to consolidate your alarm reporting. Mosler has designed this panel to be the most unique and yet we wanted to keep it as simple as possible, thus we have come up with a uniform display panel that annunciates all alarms in the same manner. All the lamps and circuitry are located behind the nonglare plexiglass front panel. We have eliminated the meters and switches that plague many of the police departments when responding to an alarm. .1 am sure that you are aware of the variety of consolidated alarm panels on the market today. In our design we have considered all of these, and in the final analysis we have arrived with the features that most police chiefs desired. These are listed below: COMPACT: The panel is only 1911 wide x 26" high x 6" deep, and is a contempOral^Y design cabinet continuously monitoring up to 140 protective locations. COMPATIBILITY: This system is compatible with alarm systems of a reversing polarity type and those with interfaces compatible with the reversing polarity type. In short this means that this equipment is directly compatible with 90% of the alarm equipment being produced today and the balance can be interfaced into the panel. It is wall mounted and remotely located from the equip- ment cabinet. The equipment cabinet with all the electronic circuitry, standby power, auxiliary components can be located in a closet, basement or the equipment room. /cont'd. . . . Mosler Electronic Systems Division February 27,1974 Gutmann Dragash & Matz Architects Sanford, Florida 32771 Re: Sanford Law Enforcement Center Page - 2 - RELIABILITY: All the circuitry is solid state. All the components have reserve performance ratings greater than required. ' ' SERVICE: Our national service organization, which is U.L. approved, has an office in Miami. SIMPLE INSTALLATION: Since both the annunciator panel and the equipment panel are all prewired and pretested here in Danbury, installation time and cost have been reduced to the absolute minimum. As I explained in our phone conversation the panel is offered at absolutely no cost to the City of Sanford, Florida. Mosler will bill each connect an initial connect charge and an annual service charge. There would be a price available if the city desired to purchase this panel outright. . Please feel free to call me if you need any further information. Very truly yours, MOSLER ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS John H. Porter Assistant Product Manager JHP:amb Ene.
