RE: Library Space Within First Floor of City Hall
I want to take this opportunity to thank you, Steve Harriett, and
members of the City Commission for the courtesy and assistance extended
in providing a location for us to continue library services during
renovation of the former Post Office building.
Attached is an executed copy of the agreement that you forwarded yesterday.
I have included the drawing that had been attached to former versions
of the contract to describe the general location of the space. As we
discussed, we may wish to adjust the effective date to some time prior
to March 1. In the event that we do, I will forward a request in
writing to revise the initial date of the contract which will still
run for six months from whichever date is selected.

public library.
Dear Roger:
As a letter of agreanentJ the City of Sanford agrees to allow SEminole
County the free use of 3,735 square feet on the first floor of the Sanford
City Hall as per the attached diagram. The County shall pay the City the
total of $2,819.93 for utilities during the six month tiIre period of March 1,
1982 through July 31, 1982. Said $2,819.93 to be paid at the time of occupancy
and pro-rated and the applicable returned if the County shall cease occupancy
prior to July 31, 1982.
The use shall be restricted to public library use as a transition period
of rrodifying the existing library building at East 1st Street and Palmetto
Avenue, Sanford. The County shall provide the City of Sanford with written
indEmnification, prior to the use of the city hall, of the total cost of any
cla~ for liability or fire loss arising from the use of this city hall space
as a public library area.
Saninole County shall provide its own maintenance of the area in use as
a public library and shall leave the area clean and in as good a condition as
the area was at the time it was occupied.
This agreEment can be extended for up to twelve months, on a nnnth by
i rronth basis, at a cost agreed upon by the County Administrator and the City
Manager of the utility cost increases to the City of Sanford.
