AGREEMENT FOR
POTABLE WATER SUPPLY
CONTRACTOR:
City of Sanford

The Department of Environmental Regulation (DER) hereby
agrees to assist the City of Sanford (CONTRACTOR) by providing
limited funds for the purchase and delivery of potable water
needed in place of water contaminated with Ethylene Dibromide
( EDB) .
Authorized reimbursement to the CONTRACTOR is not to exceed
$40,000. The costs that will be compensated include those costs
resulting from the use by the CONTRACTOR of privately owned wells
and pumps, and/or the purchase of well pumping services needed to
obtain an emergency source of uncontaminated water. The DEPART-
MENT recognizes that the long term cost of obtaining such services
may exceed the authorized amount.
This agreement shall terminate upon expenditure of the
$40,000 maximum allocation, but not later than June 30, 1984.
The CONTRACTOR shall invoice DER, Attention: Contracts
Administrator, on a monthly basis. Each invoice shall be docu-
mented with the bills or invoices that are to be submitted by the
owner(s) of any private wells used by the CONTRACTOR and/or by the
provider of the well pumping services. The CONTRACTOR shall be
reimbursed for all approved expenditures on a monthly basis.

Mr. Warren E. Knowles, phone: (305) 322-3161. All matters shall
be coordinated through the project managers.
The CONTRACTOR agrees to the following conditions:
1. This is a one time agreement and is based on the pro-
visions and limitations stated in Florida Administrative Code Rule
17-107 concerning the Expenditure of Funds from the Water Quality
Assurance Trust Fund for response to short term emergencies.
2. Performance under this agreement is subject to audit by
authorized representatives of the DER and the state. The CON-
TRACTOR shall maintain pertinent records and documentation for
this purpose in accordance with generally accepted accounting
procedures.
3. All services shall be performed by the CONTRACTOR to the
satisfaction of the Secretary of the DER or her designated repre-
sentative.
