City Manager recommends approval, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Veterans Administration, to formally offer the V.A. 50 to 75 acres for a medical center. Memo attached from Director of Recreation and Parks with bid tab. Ci ty Manager recommends acceptance of lowest bid in amount of $950.00 from Associated Building Specialties, Inc. (Bid does meet specifications.) b. Consideration of Tabulation of Bid #88/89-08 for Temporary Help (Clerical) and Bid #88/89-27 for Temporary Help (Labor.) These are for annual contracts, in the event temporary labor is needed. Memo attached with bid tabs. City Manager recommends acceptance of lowest bid, from VOLT, for Temporary Clerical; and acceptance of lowest bid, from Peoples Work Force, for Temporary Labor. (Bids do meet specifications.) c. Consideration of Agreement with Florida Department of Transportation for McCracken Road railroad crossing signal. City's annual cost is proposed to be $615.00 (50% of annual maintenance cost in amount of $1,230.00.) Copies attached: Memo from Director of Engineering and Planning, with proposed Agreement.
