The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Work Session on Monday, July 9,2007, at 5 PM, in
the Railroad Depot Room, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Mayor Kuhn called the Work Session to order at 5:06 PM.
1) Discussion regarding Community Improvement forms and processes.
Neighborhood Improvement Manager Trevor Hampton distributed and reviewed information regarding the code
enforcement complaint process.
The Commission concurred that a foreclosure proceeding policy should be put in place.
The Commission also concurred that forms/notices be revised as follows: Code Enforcement Notice of Hearing,
paragraph three, should read, FailW'e to appear may result in the hearing proceeding in your absence and a money judgment
being taken against you.; and Notice of Violation, second paragraph, should read, ......and notify the CODE ENFORCEMENT
DEPARTMENT in writing that the violation(s) haslhave been corrected A check list should be created to ensure that proper
steps have been taken in the code enforcement process.
The Commission requested a current condemnation list.
2) Presentation regarding Historic Sanford Memorial Stadium wall signage. [Commission Memo 07-184]
The Commission concurred that it doesn't want Staff to solicit sponsorships in order for the signage to be
revenue generating.
City Manager YehI said there will be discussions with Florida Collegiate League representatives regarding
handling signage sales and sharing a percentage of the generated revenue, after which he will report back to the Commission.
3) Agenda Items - additional information and/or questions.
City Manager YehI distributed a current condemnation list, revised final Ordinance 4061 (R. 7.B.), and structural
drawings regarding 1020 Elm Avenue (R.9.B.)
There was a consensus of the Commission to meet in joint work session with the Sanford Community
Redevelopment Agency on July 30, 2007 at 4 PM in the Railroad Depot Room.
Commissioner Woodruff distributed information regarding Sanford/Seminole County Y outhBuild.
4) End the Meeting.
Mayor Kuhn adjourned the Work Session at 6:04 PM.
