ORDINANCE NO. 1421
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 3-2 OF CHAPTER 3, ENTITLED
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD; SAID AMENDMENT ADDING A SUB-SECTION
TO AUTHORIZE THE PACKAGE SALE OF ~EER AND
WINE FOR CONSUMPTION OFF PREMISES ON SUNDAYS
WITH THE HOURS OF SALE ON SUNDAYS BEING
RESTRICTED TO 1:00 P.M., THROUGH 11:00 P.M.,
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the Sanford City code is hereby amended
by adding a sub-section to Section 3-2 of Chapter 3 entitled
"Alcoholic Beverages" to be numbered and read as follows:
Sec. 3-2. HOURS AND DAYS OF SALE:
(d) The provisions of sub-section (a) of the section
shall not apply to the package sale of beer and wine for consumption
off premises on Sundays. The package sale of beer and wine for con-
sumption off premises on Sundays shall be restricted to the hours of
1:00 p.m., through 11:00 p.m.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
