ORDINANCE NO. 1428
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AMENDING THE BUDGET RELATIVE
TO THE ANTI-RECESSION FISCAL AID
PROGRAM OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
ADOPTED BY THE CITY C01~1ISSION FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1977
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1978, SAID
AMENDMENT TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPROPRI-
ATION OF THE SUM OF $8,873.02FROM SUCH
FUNDS FOR THE SALARY, EQUIPMENT AND
MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES FOR THE EMPLOY-
MENT OF A CLERK TYPIST II AND A POLICE
PARKING ENFORCEMENT SPECIALIST, AND TO
PROVIDE FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF THE
SUM OF $62,734.22 AS A TEMPORARY
CONTINGENCY FOR THE BALANCE OF THE
FISCAL YEAR; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
~mEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, adopted an ordinance making appropriations for the City
of Sanford from revenue to be received from the Anti-Recession
Fiscal Air Program of the United States of America for the fiscal
year beginning October 1, 1977 and ending September 30, 1978, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission to
amend the budget previously adopted to provide for the employment
of a Clerk Typist II and a Police Parking Equipment Specialist,
and to further provide for a temporary contingency fund for the
balance of the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the budget of anticipated revenue
from the Treasurer of the United States of America for the
Anti-Recessional Fiscal Aid Program and the expenditures recommended
in said budget, be and the same is hereby amended to appropriate
the sum of $8,873.02 for the employment of a Clerk Typist II and
a Police Parking Equipment Specialist, and further to appropriate
the sum of $62,734.22 as a temporary contingency fund for the
balance of the fiscal year; that the amended Anti-Recessaion budget
is set forth in detail in the Exhibit attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
