Sanford may be attending this meeting and that subjects and matters involving the
City of Sanford may be discussed_
The City of Sanford Noise Ordinance Task Force met in the Railroad Depot Room,
Second Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida, at 2:00 PM on Friday, April
18, 2008.

Absent: None.
Mr. Radzak called the meeting to order at 2:07 PM.
1) Approval of 4.11.08 meeting minutes.
Mr. Then moved to approve the April 11, 2008 minutes as written, seconded by Mr.
Troutman. The minutes were approved unanimously.
2) Noise Survey discussion
The task force discussed the survey taken by Mr. Troutman and Mr. Martin. The task force
agreed to conduct further analysis and more surveys in the future. The task force requested
a complaint log from the Sanford Police Department over the last year. DC Presley will
provide at the May 2, 2008 meeting.
3) Special Commercial district discussion.
The task force tentatively defined the "entertainment district" as the part of the Special
Commercial district bordered by the north side of 3rd Street, east side of Oak A venue,
south side of Commercial A venue, and west side of Sanford A venue. The motion was
made by Mr. Hollerbach, seconded by Mr. Washburn. The motion passed unanimously.
The task force requested a listing of residents in the said area. Mr. Gibson will provide
the requested information at the next meeting.

The task force asked Mr. Florian about soundproofing buildings in said district. Mr.
Florian distributed information regarding sound transmission from the Florida Building
Code.
4) Agenda Items - additional information and/or questions.
The task force discussed days of the week and times of the proposed "entertainment
district" in reference to noise disturbances.
The task force agreed to discuss two agenda items for the April 25, 2008 meeting: 1)
measuring sound distance discussion 2) sound level discussion.
5) End the meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:35 PM.
