Please be advised that two (2) or more members of the City Commission of the City of Sanford may be attending this meeting and that subjects and matters involving the City of Sanford may be discussed. The City of Sanford Noise Ordinance Task Force met in the Railroad Depot Room, Second Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park A venue, Sanford, Florida, at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2008. Present: Craig Radzak Alec Then John Washburn Barry Troutman Theo Hollerbach Ken Martin Darrel Presley Russ Gibson Absent: None. Mr. Radzak called the meeting to order at 2:04 PM. 1) Approval of 4.18.08 meeting minutes. Mr. Then suggested amending item #4 in the April 18, 2008 minutes. Mr. Radzak will make the suggested changes and send to the task force for review and approval. 2) Measuring Sound Distance and Sound Level discussion. Discussion ensued on measuring sound distances and sound decibel levels. Mr. Troutman motioned that acceptable sound level in the proposed entertainment district would no more than 85 dB 10 feet from the exterior building wall and a second tier of 75dB 50 feet from the exterior building wall, seconded by Mr. Then. The motion passed 4-1 with Mr. Martin casting the dissenting vote. 3) Agenda Items - additional information and/or questions. The task force agreed to meet at 3 PM on the May 2, 2008 meeting. The motion was made by Mr. Hollerbach to appoint Mrs. Suzanne Washburn as a substitute for Mr. Washburn in his absence. The motion was seconded by Mr. Troutman. The motion passed unanimously. 1 The task force agreed to discuss three agenda items for the May 2, 2008 at 3 PM meeting: 1) Loudspeaker and amplifier use in the proposed entertainment district discussion. 2) current ordinance improvements.3) public hearing scheduling. 5) End the meeting.
