The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Ernest Cowley,
at 7:40 P.M. Mr. Howard Whelchel is the new member to replace
Dr. William Young, but was not present to be introduced.
It was reported by Richard Quigley that twelve attorneys were con-
tacted by letter and the five replies were given to the Chairman
to open and review. After reviewing the five replies, Mr. White
moved that the format for selecting counsel be by letter or phone
to appropriate firms, and three or more be selected for personal
interview. Mr. Rosenthal seconded. Motion carried.
It was also discussed and the general feeling was that the members
would like to have the letters for review at least three days before
the meeting. Mr. Rosenthal moved to instruct the secretary to open
the letters, make copies and forward them to members prior to the
next meeting. Mr. White seconded. Motion carried.
The minutes of the last meeting were corrected as follows: the
following sentence be stricken from the minutes, "Mr. Rosenthal
volunteered to obtain available forms for study by the Committee."
Minutes were approved as corrected.
The date of the next meeting will be Feb. 27th, at 7:30 P.M.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
