Public Employee Relations Commission
(PERC)
March 26, 1979
7:00 P.M.
Members Present:
Ernest Cowley, Chairman
Tom Hunt
Steve Rosenthal
Howard Whelchel
Garnett White
Members Absent:
James Brown, Attorney
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Ernest Cowley,
at 7:10 P.M.
The first item for discussion with Attorney Brown was on the status
of the Local Commission with Florida Public Relations Commission.
The next item for discussion was regarding a separate fund being
set aside for use by the PERC Commission. Discussion followed
on duties and operation of the clerk and duties and operation of
general counsel.
The Chairman was asked to contact the Seminole Bar Association
relative to local attorneys volunteering their services at no
charge, to serve as hearing officers when needed.
Attorney Brown agreed to send commissioners a copy of the new
PERC proposed rules along with his memorandum of suggested changes.
There was no action taken on any item.
The next meeting was set for April 10, 1979 at 7:30 P.M. Meeting
adjourned,at 8:30 P.M.
