MINUTES
CITY OF SANFORD LOCAL OPTION
PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RELATIONS COMMISSION
(PERC)

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Ernest Cowley.
The first item for discussion was the Minutes of the previous
meeting, with the following correction made:
In the motion by Mr. White, the words, "to recommend to the
City Commission" be deleted. Mr. White agreed to the change
in the wording and Mr. Hunt who seconded the motion, agreed.
The minutes were approved as corrected.
The Chairman said he would contact Celery City Printing and get
a ream of letterhead stationery and envelopes for the Commission
to use for correspondence. The members agreed.
Mr. Brown said he had received a copy of the new Rules from
State PERC and instructions as to what the Sanford Local Option
PERC needs to change in order to conform. He has a copy of the
Rules with the changes made and copies will be made and sent to
each member. The changes will be posted according to the State
regulations for rule making.
It was pointed out that the Commission needs to act on adoption
of forms and a flow chart for activity and these items will be
acted on at the next meeting, set for August 7, 1979.
The Chairman received a copy of the City Budget for the Local
Option PERC as follows:
Other personal services $480.00
Postage 220.00
Printing & Binding 200.00
Legal Advertising 60.00
Office Supplies 200.00
Counsel 3,840.00
Total Budget $5,000.00
Work notes reflected secretarial service for 12 meetings @ $40.00/
month. Special legal services, $1,200./ Litigation or hearing,
$2,640.
Next meeting scheduled for August 7, 1979. There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned.
