The City of Sanford Canvassing Board for the November 8, 2005 Special City Election met on Tuesday, November 8,2005
at 5:30 P.M., at the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office, 1500 E. Airport Boulevard, Sanford, Florida.
Present:
Commissioner Art Woodruff, Chairman
Mayor Linda Kuhn
Ms. Thelma Mike
Chairman Woodruff called the meeting to order at 5:45 P.M.

Inspect, open and canvass absentee ballots and discuss matters relating to absentee voting and other matters relating to the electio
John Haranzo, Supervisor of Elections Office, reported 133 absentee ballots were mailed and 69 were returned. The certificates hav
been examined and there were no errors. The canvassing board proceeded to open the mailing envelopes and remove the secrecy sleeve.
When all secrecy sleeves were removed the ballots were removed from the secrecy sleeves.
The card reader was turned on, a tape was printed out which showed zero votes in the machine; the Canvassing Board Members ea
verified the tape and signed it.
Two more absentee ballots were just delivered, and the certificates having been examined and found to contain no errors, the maili
envelopes were opened and the secrecy sleeves removed. The ballots were then removed from the secrecy sleeves. The 135 absentee ballo
were counted.
The counted ballots were sealed in a canvass bag with a numbered seal.
The meeting was recessed at approximately 6:10 P.M.

The votes from the District Polling Place were received and printed along with the Absentee Ballot votes, showing Jack T. Bridg s
the winner with 292 votes, and Dean Ray with 83 votes.
There being no provisional ballots cast, Mayor Kuhn moved to adopt Canvassing Board Resolution No. 05-03 to announce t e
results of the November 8,2005, Special City Election. Seconded by Chairman Woodruff and carried by the vote of the Canvassing Boa d
as follows:

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:00 P.M..
