I~) C''"' 1"- (,) C;:I I;)") C~ f~"":. 1;:4 Agreement to Amend Collective Bargaining Agreement This Agreement to Amend Collective Bargaining Agreement is entered into by and between the City of Sanford (City) and the Fraternal Order of Police, Sanford Lodge #140 (Union). WHEREAS, there is a collective bargaining agreement between the City and the Union effective for October 1,2007 through September 30, 2010; WHEREAS, due to budgetary considerations, the parties have agree to negotiate and amend certain provisions of the existing collective bargaining agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereby agree, as follows: 1. As to Wages in Article 37 of the collective bargaining agreement, the parties agree that bargaining unit employees shall remain frozen in the FY 2008-2009 Step to which they are assigned for FY 2009-2010 ~ an Officer at Step 1 for FY 2008-2009 shall remain at Step 1 for FY 2009-2010). The parties agree that the wage level market adjustments effective for FY 2009- 2010 shall not be implemented (~ Officer Step 1 for FY 2009-2010 shall remain at the FY 2008-2009 level of $35,720), that the FY 2009-2010 wage level adjustments are hereby void, and that the wage levels for each Step in the Step plan shall remain frozen at the FY 2008-2009 levels, except as provided below. 2. Effective October 1, 2010, bargaining unit employees, if eligible, shall advance one successive Step in the Step plan (~ an Officer at Step 1 shall advance to Step 2) at the time Step advances are regularly scheduled for the year. Thereafter, bargaining unit employees shall continue to advance one successive Step annually in the Step plan in the regularly scheduled manner. 3. Prior to October 1, 2011, the City Commission shall consider providing market adjustment increases to the wage levels of the Step plan, and the City Commission may approve market adjustment increases to the wage levels of each Step in the Step plan effective October 1, 2011. Market adjustment increases, if any, shall be determined by the City Commission in its discretion consistent with revenue increases for the City and cost of living increases and provided that such increases do not require increases in ad valorem tax rates or use of reserve funds. 4. This Agreement only amends the provisions and Articles of the collective bargaining agreement identified above and does not modify or amend any other provisions or Articles, and all other provisions and Articles of the collective bargaining agreement shall remain in the same force and effect through the term of this Agreement as before the execution of this Agreement.
