Myrtle Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0606-0030 Property Owner: Dicksie Carroll Representative: Dicksie Carroll Minor Reviews Review of Certificate of Appropriateness approvals issued administratively from October 1, 2013 through October 31, 2013. 6 Month Reviews Listed below is the status of projects reviewed by the board during the May 2013 meeting. 1119 Myrtle Avenue Item: Board approved a request to construct a handicap ramp and new door opening on the east elevation and a new entry door on the west elevation with the condition the existing ramp on the west elevation be removed upon the installation of the new ramp on east elevation and once the ramp is removed from the west elevation the new stairs and entry are in character with the building and the applicant is to submit photos and plans for the new entry doors and obtain approval. Status: An update will be provided during the meeting. 801 Magnolia Avenue Item: Board approved a request to construct a 2,030 square foot, 2-story house and detached garage with the condition the applicant submit samples of the synthetic material and reappear before board, if necessary. Status: The property owner has decided not to proceed with construction at this time. PM Minutes Mr. Kinney moved to approve the October 16, 2013 meeting minutes. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 4-0. Public Hearing PH-1 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove additions to the main house and demolish a detached shed at 410 S. Myrtle Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0606-0030 Property Owner: Dicksie Carroll Representatives: Dicksie and Edward Carroll Mr. Kinney moved to approve, with conditions, the request to remove additions to the main house and demolish a detached shed at 410 S. Myrtle Avenue based on a finding that the proposed alterations are consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S and complies with the specific design guidelines contained within Schedule S, as outlined in the staff report. The conditions being: removal of existing shed; removal of three additions at rear; the building permit for partial demolition must be accompanied by signed and sealed drawings which reflect the measures that will be taken to protect the main historic building; and the waiting period will be waived on the basis that the partial demolition will not adversely impact the main building, and demolition of the rear building will not affect the historic and architectural value of the property. The sealed drawings will reflect the measures to secure and stabilize the main house during and after demolition of the additions. Mr. Carfagna seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
