SPECIAL JOINT MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Joint
Meeting with the Sanford Airport Authority on Monday, August 25, 2014, at 4 PM, in the
City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

SPECIAL JOINT MEETING
1) Meeting call to order by Mayor Triplett.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Triplett at 4:11 PM, after which
he turned the meeting over to Sanford Airport Authority Vice Chairman Ioppolo who
called the meeting to order for the SAA Board.
Mr. Smith moved to approve the SAA Comprehensive Annual Budget
Fiscal Year 2014 -2015 for submittal to the City of Sanford City Commission. The motion
was seconded by Ms. Dane and passed unanimously.
Vice Chairman Ioppola adjourned the Sanford Airport Authority Board
meeting at 4:12 PM and turned the meeting over to Mayor Triplett.
Mayor Triplett continued the Special Joint Meeting at 4:12 PM and
opened the public hearing.
2. PUBLIC HEARING
A) Sanford Airport Authority FY 2014 -2015 Budget: presentation by Sanford
Airport Authority President Larry Dale. [Commission Memo 14 -152]
Larry Dale, President and CEO, distributed and presented an overview of
the Sanford Airport Authority Comprehensive Annual Budget Fiscal Year 2014 -2015.
Vice Mayor Williams asked for an update on improvements to the airport
entrance at Sanford Avenue and Airport Boulevard. Mr. Dale said that he received long
awaited permission from the Paulucci estate for use of their property for improvements to
that intersection. Lit signs have been on the mast arms for some time. The County has

given permission to do the signage in the right of way of Sanford Avenue and Airport
Boulevard and now that project can move forward. He distributed an exterior signage
plan prepared by CPH Engineers.
Commissioner M'Carty moved to approve the SAA Comprehensive
Annual Budget Fiscal Year 2014 -2015. Seconded by Vice Mayor Williams and carried
by vote of the Commission as follows:
