MEETING PRIOR TO LABOR NEGOTIATIONS TEAM MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in a Meeting on
Monday, November 24, 2014, at 4:12 PM, in the Railroad Depot Room, Second Floor,
City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida immediately prior to the meeting of
the City's Labor Negotiations Team Meeting.

Police Chief Cecil Smith

Mayor Triplett called the Meeting to order at 4:12 PM.
1. Discussion re: Potential events arising from Ferguson, Missouri matters.
Police Chief Smith briefed the City Commission on the local plan of
action relative to the potential events that could arise the evening of November 24 when
the report of the grand jury convened in Ferguson, Missouri is released regarding the
shooting death of Michael Brown by Police Officer Darren Wilson. Chief Smith
discussed the Order issued by Circuit Judge Dickey to address potential local crowd
control and other associated issues that could arise. The Mayor and each of the City
Commissioners inquired as to various details of the potential events and commented on
various concerns. Chief Smith assured the City Commission that all contingencies were

being addressed and that the local officials were working together in a professional
manner to address any potential occurrence.
No action was taken with regard to any matter.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:24 PM.
