The Mayor's Youth Council met in Regular Meeting on Tuesday, July 7,
2015, at 12:00 P.M., in the Conference Room, Second Floor, Sanford City Hall, 300
North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Amelia Green at 12:00 P.M.
Approval of Minutes of June 9, 2015.
Amelia Green reviewed and approved the Minutes. Shannan Wilburn attested to
this approval.
3. Continue discussion re: Council By-Laws, rules, functions, goals, etc.
The council discussed this item and will continue discussion regarding revision at
the meeting on July 28, 2015.

4. Continue discussion re: Council Initiatives.
0 The Council discussed research on the following initiatives: My Brother's
Keeper/Uniting the youth and Law Enforcement, Job Fair, Environmental protection.
Taryn Perkins moved to go forward with the My Brother's Keeper/Uniting the
youth and Law Enforcement initiative. The motion was seconded by Shannan Wilburn
and carried unanimously.
Amelia Green moved to continue research regarding the Environmental
Protection Initiative (placement of recycling bins around the city). The motion was
seconded by Addison Ramirez and carried unanimously.
5. Continue discussion re: Meeting Dates.
The Council decided upon the following meeting dates: July 20, 2015 at 12 P.M.
® and July 28, 2015 at 12 P.M.
6. Discussion re: Plans for next meeting.
The Council decided upon focusing the July 20th meeting around organizing the
My Brother's Keeper/Uniting the youth and Law Enforcement Initiative.
7. Comments.
