12.15.83MINUTES Planning and Zoning Commission Dec. 15, 1983 7:00 P.M. Members Present: J. Q. Galloway, Chairman Brent Carli C. B. Franklin Darrell Grieme Gary L. Davidson Sheila Roberts Members Absent: Cliff Miller John Morris George Willis Others Present: Bettie Sonnenberg, Zoning Inspector The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by the Chairman, J. Q. Galloway with six members present. The first item was a final plat for Mayfair Meadows, located at 46 -A, east of Oregon Ave., Sec. 33, Twp.19, Rge. 30, a private development for single- family homes, zoned MR -1L, represented by Boyd Arp of the Babcock Co. After discussion Mr. Carli moved to approve the final plat. Mrs. Roberts seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a site plan for an addition to Martin Motor Sales, located at 701 S. French Ave. a storage building, zoned GC -2, represented by Von Martin, owner. After discussion, Mrs. Roberts moved to approve. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. It was noted that no landscaping requirements will be necessary. A letter was submitted to the board from a Mr. Ken Becker, regarding the possible rezoning of Lots 9 & 10, Blk 14, Tr 5, Town of Sanford, PB 1, Pg 60, the corner of Myrtle Ave. and 13th St. , a portion of the recently rezoned downtown area. Mrs. Sonnenberg read the letter and discussion followed. It was the feeling of the members that it would not be feasible to reopen the rezoning of this area, but if some time in the future, the property owners on 13th St. feel that the character of that street is commercial, the Commission would be glad to enter- tain rezoning at that time. The staff was instructed to answer Mr. Becker's letter and inform him of the decision of the board. The Minutes of the Dec. 1, 19983 meeting were corrected with Items 1 and 2 being changed as to members present and voting. The Minutes were approved as corrected.
