09.02.821 MINUTES Planning and Zoning Commission Sept. 2, 1982 7:30 P.M. Members Present: J. Q. Galloway, Chairman Jim Barks Cliff Miller Sheila Roberts Gary L. Davidson Darrell Grieme John Morris George Willis Members Absent: C. B. Franklin Others Present: Leah Rogers, Zoning Inspector The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P.M. by the Chairman, J. 0. Galloway. The first item for consideration was a Public Hearing for a conditional use of a used car lot, located at 1120 S. Sanford Ave. in the GC -2 zoned district, represented by Sanford Gould of 101 E. 27th St. He said the building is vacant now and he intends to clean up the back lot and can store nine (9) cars now; could have more with additional blacktop. He will have security lights at night but no activity and no mechanical work will be done on site. The only detail work will be cleaning cars as they come in for display on the lot. There was no one present to speak in opposition, but a letter was read from an attorney representing Mrs. Neverless of 1209 Palmetto Ave., saying she is in opposition because of the fact that it might lower the value of her property. After discussion, Mr. Miller moved to grant the conditional use. Mr. Morris seconded. Motion carried. The next item for consideration was a request for conditional use of a home occupation of telephone service for DeGameau Bookkeeping Service, to be located at 102 E. Airport Blvd. in the SR-1 zoned district, represented by Florence Glazier. She said she will go to the place of business of her clients, pick up records, take them home to work on and return them to the business, with no traffic at the home address. Mr. Barks moved to grant the conditional use. Mr. Grieme seconded. Motion carried. The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. J. 0.
