The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M.
J. Q. Galloway. The first item for consider,

The. next item was consideration of a plat of "Mayfair Villa"
Condominium Development on SR 46A, west of Tee -N -Green Subdivision.
Mr. Kay Shoemaker was present to answer any questions. After dis-
cussion, Mr. Royster moved to approve the plat. Mr. Bridges sec-
onded. Motion carried.
The next item was a request for a conditional use at 2620 Iroquois
Avenue, for limited manufacturing in an existing structure.
Mr. Garnett White, representing Dr. R.S. Adhav, PHD, owner, Precision
Optical Assembly by Quantum Technology Inc., was present and stated
that the business consisted of growing, cutting and polishing
laser crystals for use in laser beams, etc. He stated Mr. Adhav
would employ approximately six employees, and there would be no
pollution or fire hazard. Mr. Bridges moved to approve the con -
ditional use. Mr. Royster seconded. Motion carried.
The next item was a request for a home occupation, represented by
Mrs. Jean Hutto, 2605 Hartwell Ave. She asked for telephone service
only,.for wholesale distribution of hand cleaner. After discussion
on requirements for home occupation applicants, Mr. Franklin moved
to approve. Mr. Royster seconded. Motion carried.
The next item was a request from Mr. John Clinton to park tractor -
trailer trucks and wholesale automobiles in the RC -1 zoned district
at Elliott St. and Celery Ave. Mr. Al Payne, Zoning Director stated
that this is not a permitted or a conditional use in an RC -1 zone.
Mr. Royster moved to deny. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried.

The Commission set a Work Session for 7 :00 P.M. on July 20, 1978
to review the Comprehensive Plan and to discuss changes to the
Zoning Ordinance.
Mr. Royster moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting.
Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
