The meeting was opened by the Chairman, Arthur Harris, at 8:00 P.M.
The first item on the agenda was a site plan for construction of
an employees facility at 8th. Street and Persimmon Avenue, for
Auto - Train, represented by Larry Reuter. After discussion of the
type of facility, and the possibility of asking for the property
to be rezoned in the future, there was a motion by Mr. Royster to
approve the plan, seconded by Mr. Galloway. Motion carried.
The next item for discussion was a site plan for construction of
a convenience store, and conditional use of self - service gas, and
the sale of beer and wine for consumption off the premises at the
southwest corner of Lake Mary Boulevard and Orlando Drive, repre-
sented by Mr. Bill Selig for Cumberland Farms. Mr. Selig said the
parking spaces will be bigger than shown on the plan, as the plant-
er will be moved to allow for the space needed. The planting to be
vibernum, legustrum and juniper. Mr. Galloway moved to approve
the plan, with the stipulation and recommendation that they fill
in the ditch. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Bridges
abstained from voting on the issue.
The next request, from the floor, for the conditional use for the
Holler Building at 219 E. 2nd. Street for the assembly of sail-
boats, represented by Ned Julian and S. Joseph Davis, Jr.,
prospective tenant. The type of materials to be used was dis-
cussed and it was determined that the small quantities which
would be in use would not be hazardous, and the work would be
performed in the bay area in the back section. Motion to approve
by Mr. Bridges, second by Mr. Franklin. Motion carried.
After discussion of traffic visibility areas of the City, it was
recommended that a study be made on the block wall traffic hazard
at Santa Barbara Drive and Georgia Avenue and explanation of why
the stop sign is at Santa Barbara Drive instead of the private

road from Lakeview School.
Discussion of the need for a sidewalk from 16th. Street and Man -
goustine Avenue, north to 10th. Street and Mangoustine Avenue for
the children of Goldsboro School was the next item. It was decided
to recommend that a study be made to see if this could be done.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as mailed.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
