07.15.76MINUTES Planning and Zoning Commission July 15, 1976 8:00 P. M. Members Present: Arthur Harris, Chairman Wm. Royster J. Q. Galloway Rudy Sloan Members Absent: Bob Karns C. B. Franklin Jeff Davis Vic Gischler Jack Bridges Others Present: John Steffens, Zoning Inspector Mack Lazenby The meeting was opened at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman, Arthur Harris. The first item on the agenda was a request for a conditional use in the GC -2 zoned district for fabrication of Conveyer Systems at 201 N. Maple Ave., represented by Mr. Gene Gibson and Mr. John Krider. Mr. Galloway moved to approve the conditional use, pro- vided all fabrication take place within the enclosed structure, and outside fenced area may be used for storage. Mr. Royster seconded, motion carried. The next item was a request for approval of a sight -proof fence at Brisson Funeral Home, 905 Laurel Ave. Mr. Sloan moved to ap- prove, Mr. Royster seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a request from Mr. Lucas, sign painter, for a home occupation at 214 Woodmere Blvd. in order to use his phone for business. Mr. Galloway moved to approve the request with the stipulation there be no signs erected or painted on site. Mr. Sloan seconded. Motion carried. The next request from the floor, was for approval of a site plan for the sale of outdoor furniture and plants at 2nd & Laurel, represented by Mr. Gormly. After discussion:, it was agreed that since the site plan did not show proper requirements, such as parking and rest room facilities, it could not be approved at this time. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved, as mailed. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. r i19 i� 1 «�
