07.17.75MINUTES Planning and Zoning Commission July 17, 1975 Members Present: Arthur Harris, Chairman Jeff Davis J. Q. Galloway William Royster Vic Gischler Rudy Sloan Kirby Moncrief Members Absent: C. B. Franklin Robert Karns Others Present: Bill Braceland, Building Official Dave Farr, City Planner The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Arthur Harris. The first item on the agenda was a request for a conditional use for a Used Car Sales in a GC -2 zoned district, intersection of Orlando Drive and Iroquois Ave. Mr. Speer, representing the request, agreed that the curb cuts presently on 17 -92 could be closed, as suggested by the City Planner. Mr. Gischler moved to grant the request, with the elimination of the designated curb cuts, Mr. Royster seconded. Motion carried. Mrs. Ada L. Reiley was present to request a conditional use for a home occupation in a MR -1 zone at 613 W. 25th St. where she plans to use the garage area to make handcrafted gifts to be sold in stores, with no transaction of business at her residence. Mr. Sloan moved to grant the conditional use, Mr. Galloway seconded. Motion carried. Jeff Davis presented a first draft of plans for a proposed neigh- borhood convenience store on the west side of Upsala Road, north of Tee & Green Subdivision, as a part of a development by Shoe- maker Construction Co. The members reviewed the plans and dis- cussed them briefly. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved, as mailed. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
