Mr. Gary Winn, Building Inspector Chairman Harris called the meeting into executive session at 8 :00 P. M. Mr. Pat Dalsemer, of Mortggge Resources Inc., of Orlando, Flvrida, presented plans for an 88 unit apartment building to be located on 5.3 acres of property at the corner of Airport Boulevard and Woodland Dr. with the proposed zoning of MR -2. Mr. Dalsemer presented a drawing of the apartment w'kich is to be of Spanish design. Mr. Dalsemer is partners with Mr. Gordon Toll who is building the apartments on Mellonville. They feel that this project is not only something good for them but also for the City of Sanford. They are attractive and serve the purpose of apartment living without the crowded apartment type atmosphere. Mr. Dalsemer stated that they exceed all the required setbacks which will be helpful if Airport Boulevard is ever four - laned. Planning & Zoning Commission October 5, 1972 Page 2 The property will be landscaped and the trees will be left to provide a good buffer between the apartments and anything surrounding the area. Lot Size: 230,374 Building 40,600 Driveway & PKg. 71,050 Greenbelt: 118,724 182 parking spaces -= 2.6 per unit Mr. Knowles stated that the entrance to airport blvd. is on the Lake Mary Extention and this should be four -laved not airport blvd. Mr. Knowles also feels that this development would work very well. Mr. Berrien made inquiries as to the ditch situatinn, Mr. Dalsemer assured the Board that they were aware of the agreement that Mr. Silverman has made as to installing the 48" pipe and they are perfectly willing to go along with this. David Berrien made motion to approve the Site Plan, seconded by Jeff Davis and duly carried. It was also moved to recommend to the City Commission to include the clause " Prohibit conventional construction with- in Mobile Home Subdivisimns" in the Zoning Ordinance.
