J. Risner, Building Official Kermit Wallstedt, Building Inspector Mr. & Mrs. Jack Stemper Mr. Darwin H. Nutt, Vice President Hallmark Construction Co. Mr. W. E. Knowles, City Manager The meeting was called to order by the chairman and the first item on the agenda was consideration of a zoning request from the developers of the proposed Hallmark Subdivision. A petition has been submitted to the City Commission for annexation. Mr. Nutt apprised the members of the size and other pertinent information concerning the development and after a thorough discussion Mr. Hollingsworth suggested that a recommendation be made to the City Commission zone the property predicated on annexation, to a R -1 zoned district. Seconded by Mr. Dycus and carried. Legal description of the property being the S. 1095.6 feet of the S. E. k of the N. E. k and the North 32.91 acres of the N. E. k of the S. E. k Section 31 Twp. 19 S. Range 31E. Mr. William Stemper appeared to present a rezoning request for that property generally located and adjacent to the Laundromat at 1203 West 20th Street, legal description being as follows: Parcel 1: North 96 feet of East 66 feet of NWT of NWT of SA of Section 36, Township 19 South, Range 30 East, Less North 30 feet for public road. Z & P Minutes June 4, 1970 Page 2 Parcel 2: South 46 feet of the North 142 feet of the East 66 feet of NWk of NWT of SWk of Section 36, Township 19 South, Range 30 East. Parcel 3: All that part of the East 146 feet of NWk of NWk of SWk of Section 36, Township 19, South, Range 30 East, (Less East 66 feet) lying North and East of perpetual easement and right - of way granted to the State of Florida, recorded in Official Records 37, Page 320, Public Records of Seminole County, Florida Less 30 foot right -of -way for Country Club Road, off North side thereof. After consideration and on motion by Jeff Davis a public hearing was set for June 18, 1970 at 8:00 P.M. to consider "rezoning the above property from the present zone of R -1, Single Family Dwelling to that of C -1, Neighborhood Commercial District. The City Planner reported that the Neighborhood Analysis of the City was relatively complete and copies were presented to the Building Official for review. Also a status report on the Urban Renewal project was given by Mr. Gainer and it was learned that the application would be completed before the next regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning. Mr. Gainer had made an investigation regarding the National Flood Insurance Program in the State of Florida and has requested the needed forms from Tallahassee so that we might apply. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted. The Building Official brought to the attention of the members that a name would be needed for the Urban Renewal Project Site and each member should give some thought to name and be prepared to select one at the next meeting. He also sited the need for consideration of additional safety measures regarding the modular homes. It was decided that at the next meeting a thorough discussion would be held.
