Magnolia Avenue Board approved the request to replace the metal doors and install awnings (using a solid fabric) on the north and west facades. 1 of 2 Street Sign "Toppers" Board approved the "design only" at various locations in the historic district. 700 S. Magnolia Avenue Board denied the request for paint colors and shutters. Minutes Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the January 20, 2016 regular meeting minutes. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 5 -0. Public Hearing/Meetings PM -1 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a 1,414 square foot one -story house and a 575 square foot two car garage at 214 S. Elm Avenue based on a finding that the proposed alterations are consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S and complies with the specific design guidelines contained within Schedule S. Tax Parcel Number: 25 -19 -30 -5AG- 1404 -0060 Property Owner: Peter House Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the request to demolish a shed at 111 W. 12 Street based on a finding that the proposed scope of work consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S, and complies with the design guidelines and waive the waiting period. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 5 -0. Code Enforcement Case Review Ms. Dalton distributed a copy of the Historic District Open Case Report and the Historic District Fine Report. There was discussion regarding the gazebo at Centennial Park, the awning on the Bishop Building, and enforcing the outdoor seating furniture material requirements. Ms. Deming asked how people are allowed to continue to work on properties once a stop work order has been issued. After discussion, the board agreed to have staff review with the City Attorney the legal options for enforcing stop work orders and submit to the board for further discussion/action.
