Chairman and Board's items for discussion 9. Adjournment. MINUTES HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD JANUARY 9, 2003 5:00 P.M. CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITY HALL, SANFORD, FLORIDA MEMBERS PRESENT Rey Sylvester Stephen Myers Denny Gibbs Mary Valente Thomas Goodman Barbara Farrell Leslie Stevens Maria Shreve Alexander Then MEMBERS ABSENT Marveen Kelly Scott Singeisen OTHERS PRESENT Antonia Gerli, Staff Liaison Jo -Ann Johnson, Recording Secretary Vice Chair Mary Valente called to order at 5:09 PM Mr. Myers motioned to approve minutes. Mr. Goodman seconded. Motion carried 9 -0. Residential District Item 4a — 306 W 6 th St., continued until February. Item 4b — 1020 Elm Ave., Applicant was absent, item tabled. Add -on Item 4c — 818 Palmetto Ave., Joe Forbes present the board with an application for vinyl fencing. He would like to run the fencing along the property line on the 9 St. side. The board asked Mr. Forbes what type of fencing was presently on the property. Mr. Forbes indicated that there was chain link along the alleyway and wood along the northern property line. Mr. Myers asked if the application fell within the schedule S guidelines. Ms. Myers made motion to approve the addition of this item to the agenda. Ms. Stevens seconded. Motion carried 9 -0. Application was amended by the applicant to be 6' wood privacy fence and would submit a site plan and a design style to Ms. Gerli for approval. M. Myers motioned to approve as amended. Ms. Gibbs seconded. Motion carried 9 -0. Ms. Gerli queried the board regarding the Lord's property at 819 Elm Ave. They would like to extend the existing curb cut at the alley. The board declined the extension. Ms. Shreve and Ms. Valente asked about dates for final comments for the S code reviews by the board members. Ms. Gibbs asked that we no longer accept last minute applications - board members would like time to review, and check out the sites, especially for changes to buildings. Ms. Valente informed the board that she had tendered her resignation. Mr. Then moved to adjourn. Mr. Goodman seconded. There begin no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:20 PM
