Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve as submitted. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. Ms. Dalton made a brief presentation regarding history of the request commencing in 2004. Citizen participation: Mr. Alex Then, 1019 Magnolia Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771 Ms. Patty Mahany, Sanford Women's Club, 309 Oak Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771 Mr. Chen made the motion to deny the request. Mr. Compton seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -1 ( Dieckhaus). PM -2 Address: 111 N. Citizen participation: Mr. Alex Then, 1019 Magnolia Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771 Mr. Robert Parsells, 4919 Shoreline Circle, Sanford, FL 32771 Mr. Steve Chusmir, 823 Park Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771 Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the variance request. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -1 (Chen). PM -3 Address: 203 Magnolia Avenue Property Owners: Ritz community Theatre Representative: Michael Towers Request: final approval for installation of signs. Sign LMarquee Sign Mr. Yebba made the conceptual approval for sign 41 the marquee sign at 203 Magnolia Ave based on the finding that the proposed change is consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S. Sign must comply with standards set forth in Schedule S Mr. Dieckhaus seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. Sign 2: Ritz Theatre Sign Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve with the conditions that the sign must match the original Ritz Theatre sign in design, color, texture and other visual qualities and it possible materials. The sign not be less than 14 feet in height. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion Motion carried 5 -0. Sign 3: Parapet Wall Sign Mr. Chen made the motion to deny the request for sign 43 Mr. Yebba seconded the motion Motion carried 5 -0. PM -4 Address: 601 Magnolia Avenue Property Owners: David Connell Request: final approval of variance to retain changes made to porch spindles. Mr. Chen made the motion to deny the request finding that the proposed changes at 601 Magnolia Avenue based on the finding that the proposed change is not consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S. Mr. Dieckhaus seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. PM -5 & 6 Address: 317 Oak Avenue Property Owners: First Presbyterian Church Representative: Art Woodruff Request: final approval to install garage and porch door. Minor Review 6 Month Review Citizen Participation Staff Reports /Training Christine — The Vanishing Sanford lecture series at the Sanford Welcome Center went well. May repeat or have other lecture in future. Christine also mentioned that it would be a positive action for the board members to be more involved in local projects such as the Student Museum (membership) or working on Hopper Academy in any capacity.
