Citizen Participation
Ms. Toby Troutman of 900 Palmetto Avenue wanted to ask the board about occupancy of residential
properties not converted to multi - family use. She ahs noticed properties within the district where multiple
occupants of single family residential or "roommates" are living in the house. Is this a violation of code?
Multiple tenants of a single family property seems to skirt the regulation about converting a single family
to multi - family use.
Mr. Yebba made the motion to staff ask city commission to review existing city codes addressing
occupancy of non - related members in single family residential structures and provide update for
December meeting. Our intent is to make sure that people are not skirting single family residency policy.
Mr. Dieckhaus seconded the motion.
Motion carried 5 -0.
