The Chairman called the meeting to order at 5:05 P.M.
Mr. V anGaale noted that he had talked with members of the Board of Directors for the Ritz and made sure that the paint
colors were what they were comfortable with. He had Mr. Rush bring in color samples and approved them.
The Board requested that discussion regarding the scale, elevations, and the height of the eve for the new structure at 211
Elm Avenue entered into the Minutes of October 14, 1999. Ms. Ransom moved for approval of the Minutes. Seconded
by Ms. Goeb. All in favor. Motion carried.
Certificate of Appropriateness - 1201 S. Oak Avenue - Mr. Van Gaale stated that this is the third and final attempt to
contact the applicants. This application will be discarded and the applicants can come back in if they would like to
pursue the request.
Certificate of Appropriateness - 901 Magnolia Avenue - demolish existing outbuilding and rebuild new garage. Ms.
Goeb moved to remove from table. Seconded by Mr. Rogers. All in favor. Motion carried.
Neville Daniels, 901 S. Magnolia Avenue, was present. He is proposing roof shingles and wood siding to match the
existing house.
Ms. Goeb moved to approve with revisions presented at the meeting. The motion was seconded. All in favor. Motion
carried.
Certificate of Appropriateness - 211 Elm Avenue - construct new garage with apartment. Chris Giza was present. He
submitted a plot plan and a materials list.
Mr. Moore moved to approve as presented. Seconded by Ms. Goeb. Ms. Ransom in opposition. All others in favor.
Motion carried.
Certificate of Appropriateness - 1011 Oak Avenue - install sign. A motion was unanimously approved to remove from
the table. Sica Nacu represented this request. She stated that she is withdrawing her application.

Certificate of Appropriateness - 1320 Magnolia Avenue - modify rear porch roof of non - contributing structure. Mr. Van
Gaale stated that the applicant is proposing to do a built up roof and tie into the existing gable roof. They will be
removing the aluminum overhang.
Ms. Ransom moved for approval. Seconded by Ms. Goeb. All in favor. Motion carried.
Staff Review:
201 Magnolia Avenue - repaint exterior. 207 Magnolia Avenue - install 10 "x7" plaque on building. Mr. Van Gaale
reported that he had received response regarding the code enforcement items from Raymon R. Schmitt. They will come
back with some paint colors and plans on improving the building. He has not received anything regarding The Opera
House. In the letters it indicates two weeks for some form of action, after that it will be sent to code enforcement.
On the Addendum was a Certificate of Appropriateness - 200 W. 1s Street - install an ornamental aluminum fence along
1s Street Nina Gilbert, 2752 Cullens Ct., Ocoee, was present. They have been approached by the Law Office, tenants,
to add the fence because of numerous break -ins into the cars. The fence will be 5' high.
Ms. Weber moved to table until next time so that the Board can see a sample of the material and possibly an on -site visit.
Seconded by Mr. Kuhn. All in favor. Motion carried.
Application for Certificate of Appropriateness - 517 S. Myrtle Avenue - replace window and door with french door,
construct car porch in rear yard. There was no one present to represent this request.
Mr. Rogers moved to table. Seconded by Mr. Padgett. All in favor. Motion carried.
Ms. Weber stated that the Bus Station is looking shabby with weeds growing up around the building. The sign has also
deteriorated.
Ms. Nacu stated that she is making plans to move from Florida in the Spring of next year. She requested to be relieved
of her duties to the Board now because of so many things that she has to do.
Mr. Rogers reported that the Texaco Station has some non - conforming advertising signs that were put up on the light
post. The trash receptacles that are downtown were never passed before this Board.
Mr. Singeisen reported that at 1313 Park Avenue to expand the driveway and install a sign, and 919 S. Park Avenue to
demolish and replace the garage and enclose stairwell, 605 Magnolia Avenue to construct a new garage, and 201 E. 10
Street to construct fence are all pass the 6 months period. A letter to the applicants noting that the time has lapsed seems
appropriate.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:30.
