REGULAR MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Meeting on
Monday, October 9, 2017, at 7:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North
Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

6) CONSENT AGENDA [Commission Memo 17 -283]
A. Approve procurement of tires for FY 2017/2018 from Action Gator Tire in the
estimated amount of $100,000.
B. Approve sole source procurement from Shelly's Environmental Systems for
treatment and disposal of the City's biosolids at a cost of $225,000 ($45 per ton).
C. Approve payment in the amount of $282,000 to Vitil Solutions for computer desk
side support services for FY 2018.
D. Approve payment in the amount of $97,974.80 to Superion (HTE) to maintain the
annual software support and maintenance agreement.
E. Approve expenditure of $277,119.06 to Dell for the purchase of replacement tablets
for the Police Department.
F. Approve the purchase of five (5) Stryker Power -PRO XT Ambulance Cots in an
amount not to exceed $76,740.
G. Approve the sole source purchase of diesel fuel from SSI Petroleum, Inc. in an
amount not to exceed $69,725.
H. Authorize two (2) purchase orders not to exceed a combined amount of $170,000,

to Ten -8 Fire Equipment and Paul's Auto & Truck Repair for maintenance and
repair of fire /rescue vehicles and apparatus, and authorize the City Manager to
approve additional increases as needed for FY 2018.
I. Approve the purchase of emergency medical supplies from Bound Tree Medical,
Inc. in an amount not to exceed $90,000.
J. Approve the purchase of protective clothing and equipment from Fisher Scientific
Company, LLC in an amount not to exceed $85,000.
K. Approve the purchase of duty uniform clothing from Plexus Marketing, Inc. in an
amount not to exceed $55,000.
L. Approve an increase to the existing CPH purchase order #34623 for additional
services for the SR 46 Utility Relocation Project, in an amount not to exceed
$48,619.86.
M. Authorize the Police Department to continue leasing 17 unmarked vehicles for use
by department investigators in an amount not to exceed $82,000.
N. Approve the special event permit, noise permit, alcohol permit and street closures
for the `Sanford Pride Festival' to be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017.

City Manager Bonaparte thanked the Public Works Department for the renovations
made to the Commission Chambers. He also said that the unveiling of the City's trolley will take
place this Thursday at Alive After Five in front of the Sanford Welcome Center.
14) CITIZEN PARTICIPATION
Michael Foster, Sanford Pride Project Manager, invited everyone to come out for
the Sanford Pride Festival on November 5, 2017.
Jennifer Zhang, International Youth Fellowship, invited everyone to attend the
Christmas Cantata Show at the Bob Carr Theater on October 17, 2017. Tickets are free of charge.
