REGULAR MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Meeting on
Monday, January 8, 2018, at 7:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North
Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

A. Award bid to Atlas Concrete Products, Inc., for related services at the Sanford
Municipal Cemetery in an amount not to exceed $111,000.
B. Award bid to Vogel Brothers Building Company to implement a new Biosolids
Management System at the Sanford North WRF in the amount of $4,950,000.
C. Approve the special event permit for `Sanford Porchfest' to be held on Saturday,
February 24, 2018.

facilities /pharmacies /drug stores in conformity with State law; Ad published

Erica O'Connor, Sanford resident, spoke in opposition to the proposed provisions.
She said they are unconstitutional and do not support Amendment #2.

9) CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT.
City Attorney Colbert said that during this afternoon's work session, the
Commission reached a consensus regarding the City Manager's annual evaluation. He said that
they could take action on that tonight or at a later time.
Commissioner Williams moved to approve a 3% increase to the City Manager's
salary retroactive to October 1, 2017. Seconded by Commissioner Woodruff and carried by vote

REGULAR MEETING
Steve Smith, Sanford resident, said that he has concerns with the cost and the
selection process for the MLK event; therefore, he started a petition on Change.org. Mayor Triplett
explained that the City is not involved in the event.
Lakee Smith, Sanford resident, said that Grill Masters Catering has a contract for
providing food at the MLK event and that special provisions may be able to be made upon
contacting the vendor.
