REGULAR MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Meeting on
Monday, January 22, 2018, at 7:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North
Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

associated with the award in an amount not to exceed $186,960.
C. Approve the special event permit with street closures, a noise permit and alcohol
permit for the `Sanford Food Truck Fiesta' to be held on the third Saturday, of every
month in 2018.
D. Approve the special event permit with street closures, a noise permit and alcohol
permit for the `Sanford Avenue Block Party' to be held the fourth Saturday of every

Commissioner Austin said that he has been in office for a year and thanked City

staff and the City Commission for their support.
Although it may be a code violation, Commissioner Mahany said that she is aware
that Mr. Gibson has been working with a resident in her community that has been remodeling and
asked him to look into the length of time that a dumpster may be left in the yard during a remodel.
Commissioner Williams asked how long it will be before the City is really going to
consider putting a Community Center on the east side. Mayor Triplett asked staff to provide an
update on this at the February 12th meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 PM.
