JOINT WORD SESSION
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Joint Work
Session with the Planning & Zoning Commission on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 3:00
PM, in the City Commission Chambers, Sanford City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue,
Sanford, Florida.

Commissioner Mahany called the meeting to order at 3:08 PM
1. Discussion re: Comprehensive Plan Update
Jordan Smith, Senior Planner, introduced Project Manager Lucie Ghioto
from Poulos and Bennett.

Ms. Ghioto presented a power point presentation displaying
the results achieved through the Comprehensive Plan update.
Discussion took place regarding various topics Ms.Ghioto
reviewed. Mayor Triplett spoke regarding the need for a "walk -over" at Highway
46 to access the SunRail Station and the need to contact Congresswoman
Stephanie Murphy to see where the project is at now.
Ms. Ghioto reviewed several issues in the Goldsboro area
and noted that the Choice Neighborhood Iniative as well as the Mayor's Youth
Council had provided valuable input to the Comp Plan update.
The next steps are to refine the Plan based on comments
from today's joint meeting, with adoption of the Comp Plan in October, 2018.
