As the appellant, Mayor Jeff Triplett briefly spoke in favor of the project with specific conditions as discussed with the developer. Steve Smith, Sanford resident, said that he would like to schedule a meeting with the Planning and Development Services Department to begin the process of implementing an ordinance for Fleet Farming, which would allow him to grow peanuts. 13) CITY COMMISSIONER'S REPORTS Commissioner Woodruff said that he would like to consider making changes to the City's Planned Development process. He also has concerns with the traffic flow on Lake Mary Blvd, particularly by Wyndham Preserve. He praised City staff for doing a nice job on the holiday events. Commissioner Austin said that he appreciates the Police Department and staff for the great holiday events. Commissioner Mahany said that the downtown area looks gorgeous. Vice Mayor Williams said that the parade was beautiful and she was honored to be the Grand Marshall. Mayor Triplett thanked the Commission for allowing him to file the appeal and address his concerns. He too, feels that they need to examine the Urban Infill Development process.
