Commissioner Austin moved to approve the minutes with an Amendment to include: the previously authorized but unspent Direct Grant for the benefit of the Sanford Housing Authority including the payment of $50,000 towards building permit fees. Approve special event permit with a noise permit and an alcohol permit for the `Hooters Regional Swimsuit Pageant' event on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 4-11 PM. D. [Commission Memo 19-043] Commissioner Austin moved to adopt Ordinance No. 4482, with modifications; to limit the City Manager authorization to that amount that does not exceed the amount of spending authority currently authorized in the City's Purchasing and Procurement policy. There was a lot of time and effort put into this project. It's a great location and well needed. Looking forward to the next steps applying for grants and building something nice for the community. 12) CITIZEN PARTICIPATION 13) CITY COMMISSIONER'S REPORTS Commissioner Wiggins invited everyone to join him at the Community Event at the Westside Boys and Girls Club this Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 1 IAM to 2PM. Commissioner Austin invited everyone to join him for `Tim Raines Day', opening day for Babe Ruth and the renaming of the entire complex to `Tim Raines Sports Park' on March 9, 2019 at IOAM at the Sanford Historic Memorial Stadium. Tomorrow night at Seminole High School is the `Sweet 16' boy's basketball game. Congratulations to Riley, Mayor Triplett's son, for winning the State Championship in soccer for Lake Mary High School. Commissioner Woodruff asked Mr. George to inquire about the right turn lane on Mellonville Avenue turning onto 25`h Street. The Fire Chief said the Federal Aviation Administration is disapproving the Fire Station out at the airport. He said this needs immediate attention, especially with all of the development being approved. Mayor Triplett said a nice farewell to his mom who is leaving tomorrow. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:31 PM.
