2011 BUDGET RETREAT
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in 2011 Budget
Retreat on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 3 PM, in the Wayne M. Densch Center, Safari
Room A, Central Florida Zoological Park, 3755 NW Highway 17 -92, Sanford, Florida.
Present: Mayor Linda Kuhn
Vice Mayor Art Woodruff
Commissioner Velma Williams (present at 3:12 PM)
Commissioner Randy Jones
Interim City Manager Tom George
City Clerk Janet Dougherty
Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
Mayor Kuhn called the meeting to order at 3 PM.
1. Review and discussion of the proposed 2010/2011 budget.
Interim City Manager George gave a power point presentation regarding
the FY 2010 -2011 Budget and provided printouts of the presentation and of the Five Year
Capital Plan.
Topics discussed included:
o GAP [Commissioner Williams joined the meeting] [Commissioner Williams left
the meeting and returned]
o Budget Outlook -- Revenues and Expenditures
o Recommendations to Balance FY 2010 -2011 Budget [Mayor Kuhn left the
meeting and returned] [The Mayor recessed the meeting at 4:57 and reconvened
the meeting at 5:33]
o Changes made to Personnel during 2010 and 2011 Budget planning
