3514 ORDINANCE NO. 3514.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3279, SAID ORDINANCE ENACTING THE
CITY OF SANFORD GENERAL EMPLOYEES PENSION PLAN;
AMENDING SECTION 13, ENTITLED "MISCELLANEOUS" TO CREATE
A NEW SECTION 13(8) TO PROVIDE THAT CITY OF SANFORD SOLID
WASTE DIVISION EMPLOYEES WHO WERE MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD GENERAL EMPLOYEES PENSION PLAN ON JANUARY 4,
1999 ARE ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%)VESTED; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford finds it to be in the best
interest of the City to amend Ordinance No. 3279 to provide that City of Sanford Solid
Waste Division Employees who were members of the City of Sanford General Employees
Pension Plan on January 4, 1999, the date when the City of Sanford eliminated the City
of Sanford Solid Waste Division, are one hundred percent (100%) vested in the City of
Sanford General Employees Pension Plan as of January 4, 1999.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SAN FORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 13(8) of the City of Sanford Ordinance No. 3279 is hereby
created and shall read as follows:
Section 13(8): All solid waste employees who were members of the City of
Sanford General Employees Pension Plan as of January 4, 1999, are hereby
one hundred percent (100%) vested in the City of Sanford General
Employees Pension Plan as of January 4, 1999.
SECTION 2: SEVERABILITY If any section or portion of a section of this
Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair
the validity, force or effect of any other action or part of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: CONFLICTS That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby revoked.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage and adoption.
