AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 31'17 OF SAID CITY, SAID
ORDINANCE BEING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS; SAID AMENDMENT INCLUDES AM ENDING
SCHEDULE N, SECTION 3.1 UTILITY EASEMENTS TO
ELIMINATE REFERENCE TO "UTILITY" EASEMENTS AND
TO CHANGE THE WIDTH AND PROPERTY LINE
REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the City of Sanford to amend
Schedule N, Section 3.1, Utility Easements, of the Land Development Regulations of the
City of Sanford to eliminate reference to "utility" easements and to change the width and
property line requirements; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Schedule N, Section 3.1, Utility Easements of the City of Sanford,
Land Development Regulations, Ordinance No. 3117, is hereby deleted in its entirety and
new Section 3.1 is adopted as follows:
SECTION 3.1 EASEMENTS
The Administrative Official shall have the authority to require
easements for all uses when such an easement is necessary
to implement and further the City's public facility master plans.
Such easements shall:
Be identified and dedicated on the face of site plans,
preliminary subdivision plans and final plats.
Be a minimum width necessary to accommodate the
public facility in question,
C. At a minimum, provide a 10' front property line
easement.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and
the same are hereby revoked;
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
