AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE SAME BEING ENTITLED AS
THE "HOUSING CODE", SAID AMENDMENT ADOPTING
THE 1977 AND 1978 REVISIONS TO THE 1976 EDITION
OF THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE AS PREPARED BY THE
SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE CONGRESS, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SAiqFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 14-1· of Chapter 14 entitled
"HouSing Code" of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Seco 14-1 ADOPTED
The 1977 and 1978 revisions ~ the 1976 edition of the
Standard Housing Code, prepared by the Southern Building Code Congress,
is hereby adopted by the City, one (1) copy of which code is filed
in the office of the City Clerk as a matter of permanent record of
the City, and the matters and contents therein are made a part of this
Chapter by reference as fully and completely as if set forth herein,
and such copy shall remain on file in said office available for public
inspection.
SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it
shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parm of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective
