AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
~MENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE SAME BEING ENTITLED
"LICENSES"; SAID AMENDMENT ADDING A SEPARATE
CLASSIFICATION TO SECTION 16-12 OF SAID CHAPTER,
SAID CLASSIFICATION PROVIDING FOR A LICENSE FEE
FOR RENTAL STORAGE AND WAREHOUSE FACILITIES
WITH NO SALES FROM THE FACILITY, SAID FEE TO BE
$40.00 FOR5,000 SQUARE FEET OR LESS AND $3.00
FOR EACH ADDITIONAL 1,000 SQUARE FEET; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 16-12 of Chapter 16 entitled
"Licenses" of the Sanford City Code is hereby amended to add the
following classification:
Sec. 16-12. SCHEDULE OF OCCUPATIONS AND LICENSE TAXES.
The amount of license tax levied and imposed upon every
person that shall engage in or manage any occupation, business or
profession mentioned in this section within the City is hereby
fixed, graded and determined as to the following occupations,
businesses or professions and at the following amounts:
Rental Storage and Warehouse With No
Sale From The Facility .................................. $40.00
(Up~to 5,000 square feet)
In the event the facility exceeds 5,000 square feet, there
shall be an additional fee of $3.00 for each additional 1,000 square
feet.
SECTION 2: All rental storage units when used as business
locations shall be required to comply with all existing codes and
ordinances.
SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it
shall not be held to invalidate or impair the .validity, force or
effect of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
'SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
