AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1321, SAID ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR. A SCHEDULE OF TRAVEL EXPENSE
AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR CITY OFFICIALS AND CITY
EMPLOYEES WHILE ENGAGED IN CONDUCTING BUSINESS
IN BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA; SAID
SCHEDULE TO PROVIDE FOR PER DIEMIN THE SUM OF
$40.00 PER DAY, MILEAGE OF $ .17 PER MILE,
BREAKFAST EXPENSE OF $2.45, LUNCH EXPENSE OF
$3.50 AND DINNER EXPENSE OF $7.00, PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has been paying per diem
and mileage to officials and employees of the City of Sanford in
accordance with the schedule established by the State of Florida and
State employees, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Commission that the
present State schedule for per diem and mileage is inadequate to cover
!reasonable expenses of officials and employees of the City of Sanford,
Florida, for travel, meals and lodging while conducting business in
behalf of the City when outside the City of Sanford, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following ~chedule for per diem,
mileage and meals for officials and employees of the City of Sanford,
Florida is hereby established as follows:
Breakfast $ 2.45
Lunch $ 3.50
Dinner $ 7.00
Per Diem $ 40.00
Mileage $ .17 per mile
SECTION 2:
If any section or portion of a section of
this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it
shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect
of any other section or part of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION' 4: This grdinance shall become effective
irfanediately upon its passage and adoption.
